A showy plant with heart-shaped variegated leaves of crimson, green, cream and yellow. Chameleon works well as a ground cover near the edge of the pond. The leaves are fragrant and it gets a small white flower in early summer. Winter hardy but need to submerge to prevent freezing of the roots.
