Tropical bog plants accent the water garden by adding color and shape to the water garden. Natural ponds have an abundance of reeds, rushes, cattails, iris and flowering plants growing freely in the moist soil at the water's edge. Marginal plants add beauty to the landscape and provide cover for the wildlife that lives near the watergarden. Adding bog plants in the shallow areas along the edge of the pond, streambed or waterfall will give your watergarden a more natural appearance. Our plants are grown in 2" net pots to ensure good root development to reduce transplant shock. Our method of growing the bog plants in this way reduces the likelihood of the plant dying back like bare root stock normally would. The size of plant that we ship varies by variety. We ship plants that are semi-mature or mature, not new starts. Tropical bog plants are pond plants that will not come back each year, except in usda zones 9-10 in most cases. Actual zone hardiness does vary by plant.
